Orani Branch Finds New Home The quest for greener pastures for FICOBank is a continuing process. Last October 28, 2009, the Orani (Bataan) branch of FICOBank was transferred to its new home in Urdaneta City, Pangasinan. The top brass of the Bank trooped to this “richest city in Region 1,” an obvious place of greater potential, for its opening. The city is the center of commerce and industry in the eastern part of the province. Vegetable and livestock trading in its three principal markets continue round-the-clock and are the largest in volume in the whole region. In fact, average daily transaction reaches the P24M mark. Another thing unique to Urdaneta City is the equitable distribution of wealth to its residents. Every family is a property owner, albeit minimal. Its nighttime population of 155,000 balloons to 190,000 during the day. Proof that transient workers, shoppers and students troop to this city. Its 18,000 student population boosts the local economy as their families do their shopping and transact their business here when visiting them. Urdaneta City Mayor Amadeo R. Perez, Jr. led the attendees including some local officials, the city’s parish priest, executives of other banks and prospective clients, both local and foreign. The Bank leadership came in full force, headed by Chairman Flordelino A. Almazan together with Vice Chairman Florentino Somera, Jr., the other directors, President & CEO Herminio G. Ocampo, Executive Vice President & COO Soledad S. Cabantac and several department heads. FICOBank Urdaneta is strategically located along Alexander Street, in front of Magic Mall. It is headed by Branch Manager Vicente Q. Quintos, Jr., the erstwhile head of the Malasiqui branch.
