FICOBank Holds Its 36th Annual General Assembly Meeting

With the stunning theme “Staying Evergreen in the Eye of the Market,” which reverberated throughout the event, FICOBank has successfully held its 36th Annual General Assembly (AGA) Meeting on May 28, 2016 at the Tindalo Hall, Isabela Hotel, Minante I, Cauayan City, Isabela. This was graced by honorable guests and participated by the 96 coop-stockholders, Board of Directors, Senior Management, department/office heads, branch managers and selected staff.

Prior to the formal opening of the AGA Meeting, everybody rendered a one minute of silence for remembering the late President & CEO of FICOBank, Mr. Herminio G. Ocampo, who provided an immense contribution to the numerous achievements of the Bank since 1990. Afterward, Board Chairman Wilfredo DC. Antonio, in his Opening Remarks, warmly welcomed everybody in attendance for taking part in this annual event of the Bank despite the searing heat inside the plenary hall that was brought about by a power outage.

The awarding rites for the Top-Performing Branches, with exemplary performance for CY 2015, took place later on. The plaques of recognition were presented to the respective awardees by Chairman Antonio, President/CEO Hubert E. Molina, SVP Emilio U. Rico Jr., AVP/Area Manager Zorina S. Aradanas and AVP/Area Manager Jimmy R. Parongan. FICOBank Zaragoza had made it to the top and was followed by FICOBank Roxas, FICOBank Echague, FICOBank Aparri and FICOBank Aurora for the second, third, fourth and fifth places, respectively. Trailing in the list of the topnotch performers were FICOBank Tuguegarao, FICOBank Gapan, FICOBank Diffun, FICOBank Alicia and FICOBank Guimba. The BMs of these branches were correspondingly adjudged as the Top-Performing Managers.

Meanwhile, in her Keynote Speech, Ms. Rodelia A. Pagaddu, Manager of the Business Development & Marketing Department of the Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation, acknowledged the success story of FICOBank. She said that she had witnessed the humble beginnings of the Bank, of which, for over three decades of servicing the banking pubic, remarkable accomplishments (both financial and non-financial) have been attained and valuable relationships have been established by the Bank.

After the sumptuous fellowship lunch, the Business Meeting was called to order by the Presiding Officer, Mr. Wilfredo DC. Antonio, at around one o’clock in the afternoon. The existence of a quorum was declared by the Corporate Secretary after the roll call of the cooperative-stockholders. Later, the reading and disposition of the minutes of the previous meeting took place. Clarifications were made by the Board and Senior Management after some questions, issues and other concerns were raised by the representatives of the coop-stockholders. With confidence and wit, the newly installed President/CEO, Atty. Hubert E. Molina, presented the Business Report of the Bank for CY 2015. The said report was eventually accepted by the august body, with appreciation.

The 36th AGA Meeting of the Bank came to an end after the election and proclamation of the unopposed winning candidates. Atty. Estalker Argonza of the Cooperative Food Center, Mr. Ernesto Gamboa of the Bantug Multi-Purpose Cooperative and Mr. Rogelio Benitez of the Mallig Samahang Nayon Area Marketing Cooperative were proclaimed as elected regular members of the Board.
